The Gresham Butte Neighborhood Association (GBNA)will meet in person for the first time in three years on Wednesday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gresham Japanese Garden Kyoudou Center, which has just been extensively remodeled inside and out.

The Kyoudou Center is at the south end of Main City Park. Jim Card, the designer of the Gresham Japanese Garden, will present on the Tsuru Island’s history and recent expansion.

GBNA has planted 2,000 trees on Gresham Butte in the last three years, helped fund and complete both Ebetsu Plaza and the Peace Plaza at Main City Park, commissioned a Caswell sculpture for the Peace Plaza, and restored the Dawncrest Wayside. Another forest restoration project will be underway this coming winter.

GBNA is looking for people willing to step up and serve as officers. We want worthwhile projects in Gresham Butte to continue, so please consider serving as a leader. Elections will be held at the October meeting.

A postcard has been mailed by the City to all Gresham Butte residents, notifying them of this meeting.
